Things She Could Not Say

The Things She Cannot Say is a piece comprised of seventy-one vases that are slip cast out of porcelain clay. I used the shape of a vase because of its visual connection to the shape of the female body. I also use porcelain because it is strong but still fragile. The seventy-one vases and their respective shelves are representative of each year of my mother’s life.
